Starlink has added a new tool to its website that allows you to check any area of the world for order availability through a map interface. This new Starlink Availability Map gives potential customers a way to quickly check if their area is open for orders.
Existing customers will also appreciate this new tool, as it shows them more detail into where the boundaries for their service cell are. Previously, only rough estimates were available for where the service cell boundaries where.
How to Access Starlink Availability Map
You can access the availability map by visiting Starlink.com/map in your web browser. The map will work on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops.
You do not need to be a Starlink customer or have an account to access the tool.

How to Use the Availability Map
To use the new tool, simply move around the map to check a broad location. Zoom in to check a more specific area. If you are interested in a specific address, use the search box to type in the address and the map will zoom in right to that area.
If you tap or click an area of the map, the tool will give you an approximate date for availability.

The map tool has a legend with three colors:
AVAILABLE - service is available now
WAITLIST - service is available, but there is a waitlist
COMING SOON - service is expanding to this area soon
How To Check For Availability
We wrote a guide on how to check for Starlink service availability, check it out now!
Any idea if we purchase the RV plan if we can change to a regular service location plan later?
No, RV accounts can not be changed to the Residential plan.
Hi Noah. Thank you for being patient with me. The Starlink Availability Map was great at first, now when you enlarge the map, the print for the cities names is so small, it is hard to read. This wasn’t an issue before, but seems to have been for the last couple of weeks. Could someone please fix this so the map is not so hard to read.
We signed up 02/10/2021 and Starlink said it would be available in our area mid 2021, then late 2021, then early 2022, now it says mid 2022, but when I click in the map near my address or put in my address to see availability, it states expanding 2023. OK, which is it? We are very rural in the Ozark Mountains in southern Missouri and our expensive high speed internet is basically dialup. So, are we looking at 2022, 2023, 2024, …? Dragging the date out over and over is very disheartening. We would just appreciate a more realistic date of expectation. Thank you. D
Nobody really knows but Starlink, it all depends on how many satellites they can put into orbit. They give very little information as you’ve discovered. It’s very common to see your date delayed over and over again in very high demand areas like Missouri.
How often will the map be updated?
It’s updated regularly as new information becomes available.
Why are there delays in my area (Texas) to 2023 yet they are now making RV satellites available?
RV users have deprioritized service. Also, most RV users are traveling to more remote areas, using bandwidth and satellites in places that are not at capacity.
I am trying to provide an accurate Service Address so I can order Starlink. I am in a very rural location (lake island) and do not have a formal address. How do I provide? It is an area on the map that is available.
You can use an address nearby to order, and then update your exact location later in your account settings on the website.
